Relentless efforts of Iranian FM Araghchi to counter US’s colonial plot against Palestinians

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister discussed regional developments, especially the latest developments in Palestine, in telephone conversations with officials from Islamic countries and his counterparts in other nations.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, continued his intensive diplomatic phone consultations concerning the occupied Palestinian territories and the joint plan by the Zionist regime and the United States for the forced displacement of the Palestinian people. On Saturday night, he spoke with Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Araghchi added: The plan for the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza is not only a major crime equivalent to genocide but also has dangerous implications for the stability and security of the region and the world.
He emphasized that the OIC must urgently convene an extraordinary meeting with the foreign ministers of member countries to make a decisive and effective decision to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC, also deemed the conspiracy of the forced relocation of Gaza residents completely unacceptable and welcomed Iran’s proposal for an emergency consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of OIC member countries.
Also in a phone call, Araghchi spoke with Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, noting the firm opposition of countries to the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza and described this conspiracy as a continuation of the genocidal plan in Palestine. He also emphasized the need for Islamic countries to take a firm and cohesive stance against this conspiracy.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister also highlighted the necessity for all Islamic countries to continue supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and welcomed the proposal by Iran’s Foreign Minister to hold an emergency meeting of the OIC.
Araghchi also, in a telephone conversation with “Muhammad Ishaq Dar,” the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, praised the support of the Pakistani government and people for the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people against occupation and genocide. He described the plan to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza as part of a colonial plot to erase Palestine. While condemning this conspiracy, he called for a unified stance by Islamic countries against this ominous plan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister also emphasized the responsibility of the international community and Islamic countries to help realize the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people and to end the occupation, condemning and rejecting any plans or schemes to seize Palestinian land.
In this context, Iran’s Foreign Minister and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati discussed regional developments, particularly the situation in Palestine and Gaza, and bilateral relations in a telephone conversation.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, referring to Egypt’s stance in supporting the legitimate rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, described the plan for the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza as part of a colonial conspiracy to obliterate Palestine and a serious threat to the stability and security of the region.
Egypt’s Foreign Minister, explaining his country’s positions and diplomatic efforts in supporting the legitimate rights of Palestine and ensuring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and rebuild Gaza, deemed any effort to relocate the people of Gaza from their land unacceptable.
On the other hand, Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Nafti, praised the ongoing support and solidarity of the Tunisian government and people with the Palestinian nation, especially during the 16-month genocide by the occupying Zionist regime. He described the plan for the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza as part of a colonial plot to erase Palestine.
Tunisia’s Foreign Minister, pointing out the necessity for the international community to take responsibility to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and stop the killing of the Palestinian people, emphasized: Gaza and the West Bank are integral parts of Palestine, and any attempt to remove the people of Gaza from their land is absolutely unacceptable.
Donald Trump, the U.S. President, on February 4th, called for the complete evacuation of the Gaza Strip and the relocation of its residents to neighboring Arab countries and other areas. He also asked for U.S. control over Gaza.
Trump had previously ordered leaders of neighboring Arab countries, including Egypt and Jordan, to take in the people of Gaza.
