Pars Today – Iranian users on the social media platform X reacted to the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza.
Qatar announced on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the success of efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza between Palestinian and Israeli parties.
The agreement will take effect on Sunday, January 19, putting an end to more than 15 months of war and the killing of over 46,000 civilians by Zionist forces. The announcement sparked waves of joy in various countries. In this report by Pars Today, a selection of reactions from Iranian users on X is highlighted:
A user named Golijanam shared a video of the people in Gaza celebrating and wrote: “People, upon hearing about the ceasefire, rush to their homes with joy and gratefully thank Yemen for standing firm and supporting the resistance. In their faces, you see nothing but the joy of victory.”
Fatemeh Banu, another X user, referred to the victory of the people of Gaza in a tweet, stating: “Name two of Netanyahu’s defeats: Hamas is still alive; a ceasefire in Gaza.”
Mahboubeh Sadat wrote: “Hamas was not destroyed, Gaza did not surrender, and no prisoners were freed through military operations. By agreeing to Hamas’s terms for the ceasefire, the hollow prestige of the Zionist regime has been buried forever in the sands of Gaza.”
