Screenplay based on heavenly Book
The renowned Iranian filmmaker, Ebrahim Hatamikia, has written the screenplay of the film Musa Kalimollah on the basis of the holy Qur’an. Due to using the Qur’an and not just the Torah, this film excels the famous film, “Ten Commandments”, made by Cecil B. DeMille in 1956, in terms of the scale of accounts and information.
Which age the film belongs to?
Most of the viewers may be familiar with the life and times of Prophet Moses due to religious teachings, but the accounts and details which have been added to the story of this great prophet from historical sources, have made it highly attractive. The film begins from several months before the birth of Prophet Moses in a small city near the Palace of Pharaoh in Egypt. The story mainly deals with the prevention of the courtiers of Pharaoh from the birth of a son who was going to save the Israelites from the yoke of oppressive rulers.
A woman as main role of the film
Famous Iranian actress, “Merila Zarei”, playing as Moses’ mother, Jochebed, is the main character of the film who adeptly demonstrates maternal emotions in ancient Egypt with her elaborate play and mastery of physical and verbal abilities.
Employing modern technologies
More than %70 of the scenes of the film Musa Kalimollah have been produced through cyber realities in the background. Employing this technology has enabled the director and other cinematographers to properly visualize the realities of that age. Among the unique features of this film is the lighting which has highly contributed to space making and credibility of the work.
Film is image-based
A major part of the film Musa Kalimollah has been dedicated to imaging of the scenes and characters. Therefore, it won’t be hard for international audience to perceive it. In other words, the film is not based on mere dialogue; hence the viewer, who doesn’t know Farsi, can feel comfortable with the help of the hard subs. This will help the film to gain success once it is globally screened.
