Iranian Red Crescent Society to US Red Cross: You are not alone in tough moments; our rapid reaction teams are ready to help

Pars Today- Head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society, in a message to the American Red Cross, expressed sympathy with the families of the casualties of the widespread fire in Los Angeles and announced readiness to send humanitarian aid to the country.
Pirhossein Kolivand wrote in his message to Cliff Holtz, CEO of the American Red Cross, “The news of wildfire in vast regions of your country, which has not only overwhelmed homes and lives but also turned the beautiful nature of your land into ashes, has both constituted a local crisis and inflicted a wound on the human conscience.”
According to Pars Today, the message continued, “The painful scenes and people who are breathing with difficulty under the smoky and fiery sky has inflicted pain on all conscientious and compassionate people around the world.”
Kolivand added, “I assure you on behalf of the IRCS that you are not alone in these difficult moments. The recent wildfire showed that controlling this crisis is beyond local capabilities and needs global assistance to extinguish fire. The sweeping flames in the nature, due to prolongation of fire operation, is a threat not just to human lives but to the future of the earth and the environment.”
The message then read, “We in the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran- relying on extensive experiences in countering natural and human catastrophes- are ready to quickly send our specialized rapid reaction teams, relief equipment, committed and well-trained manpower to the place.”
In another part of the message Kolivand wrote, “We and other relief forces are ready to make effort to restore calm to the people who are besieged in fire and grief. Saving human life, alleviation of the pains of casualties and creation of hope is our topmost mission.”
He concluded his message with extending sympathy for the American Red Cross CEO, Cliff Holtz, and the bereaved families in the crisis and waiting for his response.
