Five key points about the all-Iranian Martyr Soleimani vessel

Pars Today – The Martyr Soleimani vessel has been developed as part of Iran’s naval power expansion, incorporating advancements in catamaran (twin-hull) and trimaran (triple-hull) designs within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It represents a fusion of knowledge and experience.
This Pars Today report examines the dimensions and strategic applications of the Martyr Soleimani missile-launching vessel.
1- The full domestic manufacturing of this Iranian vessel, utilizing the expertise of knowledge-based companies collaborating with the IRGC, has enabled the corps to produce at least one vessel of this class per year. These new aluminum vessels are both lighter and have greater operational endurance at sea.
2- The operational range of the Martyr Soleimani vessel is stated as more than 750 kilometers. This range is specified for regular and independent navigation of this vessel. Additionally, a 5,000 nautical mile range has been proposed by Iranian high-ranking military commanders for carrying out missions, which would be achieved through combined naval operations.
If a support vessel, similar to what the Iranian Army’s Navy uses in distant missions, is deployed alongside this vessel, its range effectively increases several times, allowing it to operate thousands of kilometers away from the coast. The IRGC has also built new support vessels in recent years for this purpose, with examples including the Martyr Roudaki support ship and the Martyr Mahdavi vessel, which is nearing completion.
3- The record-breaking achievement of the manufacturers of this aluminum vessel, in terms of its structural length, has enabled the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to rank among the three countries capable of producing aluminum vessels over 60 meters in length. This accomplishment has expanded the scope of future successes for the IRGC in constructing aluminum vessels with diverse applications.
4- The radar and detection systems installed on the Martyr Soleimani vessel are capable of effectively monitoring surface, subsurface, and aerial movements. This vessel is equipped with radar detection and surveillance systems, as well as vertical launch air defense systems with a range exceeding 150 kilometers. Some analysts identify this air defense system as the “Sayyad-3.” Additionally, the vessel includes short-range systems designed to counter drones, cruise missiles, and other aerial threats.
5 -In addition to its defensive capabilities, the Martyr Soleimani vessel is also equipped with special visible and hidden offensive arrays. Images of Martyr Soleimani vessel show the presence of six cruise missiles on both sides of the deck adjacent to its command bridge.
