“Cursed is he who disturbs neighbors”; a glance at guidelines of Prophet Mohammad and progeny on neighbor

Pars Today – Respecting neighbors has a great effect on social life and, due to the spread of urbanism and urban lifestyle, paying attention to neighbors and their rights gets high importance.
The need to have appropriate relation with neighbors has been emphasized in Islam and inattention to them has been strongly negated. The following are precious maxims chosen from the remarks of the great Prophet of Islam and his progeny about the significance of heeding neighbors and proper relation with them:
The Prophet of Islam (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) says, “Respecting neighbor is [obligatory] on man like respecting his mother.”
Imam Sadeq (Peace upon him) says, “Cursed is, cursed is he who disturbs his neighbor.”
Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) says, “Anyone who believes in God and the Day of Resurrection, should not disturb his neighbor.”
The Prophet says, “Anyone who refrains from helping his neighbor, God Almighty will refrain from doing him good on the Day of Resurrection.”
Imam Sadeq (Peace upon him) says, “Indeed, he who does not treat his neighbor well, is not from us.”
The Prophet of Islam (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny) says, “Gabriel recommended me so much on neighbor so that I thought neighbor would be among inheritors.”
Imam Sadeq (Peac upon him) says, “He who sleeps night full while his neighbor is hungry, does not believe in God and the Day of Resurrection.”
