Iran, Eurasia plan for $10 billion trade; Tehran, Yerevan to cooperate in AI, space industry

Pars Today- Iran’s Industry, Mines and Trade Minister, Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, informed of $10 billion trade with Armenia in near future.
According to Pars Today, Seyyed Mohammad Atabak said, “Iran’s trade with the Eurasian Economic Union is $3.6 billion and it has been planned to amount to $10 billion in a near future.”
 
Iran, Afghanistan agree to expand, strengthen monetary, banking ties
Mohammad Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), and his Afghan counterpart, Noor Ahmad Agha, met on the sidelines of the Conference of Modern Banking Technologies in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and conferred about the development of bilateral monetary and banking ties. Referring to the volume of economic and trade transactions between the two countries, the two top bankers of Iran and Afghanistan stressed, “Expansion of monetary and banking transactions has been put on the agenda with the aim of increasing and bolstering economic dealings of both countries.”
 
Russia keen on new trade opportunities at Tehran’s Eurasia exhibition
Khosrow Hassanbeigov, Chairman of the Russian Exports Mission in Iran, pointing to the third international and specialized trade exhibition with Eurasia in Tehran, said, “Russian companies will participate at the exhibition with the aim of finding new commercial opportunities.”
 
Iran, Armenia to cooperate in AI, traffic transit, space industry
Seyyed Sattar Hashemi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Grigor Hakopian, the Armenian Envoy to Tehran, and described “Artificial Intelligence”, “Traffic Transit” and “Space Industry” as good fields to cooperate with Armenia. He stressed, “Both countries are interested in development of relations and cooperation in every field, especially communications and information technology.”
 
Aluminum tariffs to affect 123 exports sections in Japan
The United States is going to impose extra tariffs on imports which will impact 123 sections in Japan such as manufacturing of chips and plane parts. It is expected that these tariffs, which are going to be put in effect from March 12, will deal blow to the Japanese companies highly depending on American companies.
 
Increase of Indian imports from Russia
In spite of the American sanctions, Indian crude imports from Russia amounted to 1.58 million barrels per day which shows a growth of 4.3 percent. Thus, Russia continues to be the greatest provider of New Delhi’s oil.
