The X media account of Khamenei.ir stated in this tweet that the United States, through its behavior around the world, particularly in Latin America and West Asia, displays the worst kind of arrogance. According to Pars Today, the translation of the tweet is as follows:
“The United States, through its behavior around the world, particularly in Latin America and West Asia, displays the worst kind of arrogance, while claiming to defend individual rights. The will of the people can overcome this arrogance.”
The U.S. Department of State announced on Friday that, following the order of President Donald Trump, it has officially changed the name of the “Gulf of Mexico” to the “Gulf of America.” This action has faced widespread protests. According to Reuters, such a renaming is unlikely to be recognized internationally. The Mexican government also stated that the name “Gulf of Mexico” is internationally recognized and has been used as a reference for maritime navigation for hundreds of years.
