Trump: We loaned to Ukraine; Macron: We gave a gift! / Russia: Europe should stay out!

Pars Today – U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that all financial aid sent by European countries to Ukraine was in the form of loans that would be repaid in the future.
During a meeting between the U.S. and French presidents at the White House on Monday (February 24), Emmanuel Macron interrupted Trump’s remarks in front of reporters to correct his statement about European aid to Ukraine. According to Pars Today, the French president quickly interjected, placing his hand on Trump’s elbow and emphasizing, “That’s not true. Sixty percent of the aid Europe has given to Ukraine was not a loan but a gift.”
 
Europe wants the war in Ukraine to continue
On Tuesday, Russia’s UN representative, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that Europe is the only major international actor seeking to prolong the war in Ukraine and is doing everything possible to prevent its resolution.
 
Macron: Russia is the aggressor
Meanwhile, on Monday, Emmanuel Macron took to social media platform X to accuse Russia of being the aggressor in the Ukraine war, stating that Western support for Kiev would remain “unwavering.”
 
Finland: A Russian victory means a defeat for the U.S. 
On the same day, Finnish President Alexander Stubb visited Kiev and warned that if Russia wins the war in Ukraine, the United States would be the ultimate loser. He stressed that the conflict is not only about Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity but also about European security and U.S. leadership.
 
Russia: Europe should stay out
Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on potential agreements between Moscow and Washington, stating that confidence-building talks between Russia and the U.S. are solely a matter between the two nations and that “Europeans should not interfere.”
 
U.S.: Ukraine’s NATO membership is not an option
Meanwhile, Mike Waltz, the U.S. National Security Advisor, told Fox News that Washington sees no scenario in which Ukraine could join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
 
Zelensky: We will form our own military alliance
Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine, during a conference in Kiev, stated that the country might be forced to create a “NATO within Ukraine.” Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized, “If NATO’s doors remain closed to us, we will have no choice but to establish it within Ukraine, which means maintaining an army strong enough to repel any aggression.”
