Guardian: Trump-Musk dragon will be a blight on Europe-US ties

Pars Today – Senior international correspondent with the British daily, Guardian, called “Elon Musk” and “Donald Trump” as a twin-headed dragon which will wreak havoc on Washington’s diplomatic relations with allies.
Guardian’s senior analyst, Julian Borger, reiterated in a report, “Europe has been braced since the US presidential election in November for the challenge posed by Donald Trump’s return, but the threat to European stability has come earlier and appears far more serious than predicted, even by the pessimists.”
According to Pars Today, quoting from ISNA, Borger has referred to the American billionaire and Trump’s ally, Elon Musk’s, support for the European far-right parties and written, “European capitals have been floundering in a complicated situation as they don’t know how to respond Trump. They both intend to express their anger over Elon Musk’s flagrant meddling in favor of the extremists and are concerned with being the target of personal complaints of Trump and Musk.”
Pointing to Trump’s territorial ambitions, including his attempt to annex Greenland to the US, Julian Borger continued, “A NATO member, Denmark, has fallen into a political crisis as Trump has publicized his intention to seize Greenland and threatened to increase tariffs in case of opposition to his intention. While holding a lot of emergency sessions with the king and leaders of Greenland, the Danish government has been very cautious to answer [ Trump’s remarks].”
The British analyst has also emphasized that the US allies’ concern over Donald Trump’s presidency goes beyond the domain of trade and includes European and Ukrainian security. He wrote that the European leaders believe that once Trump comes to power, the Ukrainian war will enter a new phase in which they should struggle to attract Trump’s positive idea on continuation of sending arms to Ukraine.
Finally, the reporter quoting from Elizabeth Braw, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, wrote, “If not sad, it is ridiculous to think that we have applied our tools to reduce the risk of intervention by Russia, China and Iran, but we are now targeted by an insider!”
