Pars Today – The Commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: The successful operations of the Air Force, such as Operation H-3, were the result of the wisdom of brilliant commanders and experienced pilots, which led to the most complex and astonishing air operation in the world being recorded in history under Iran’s name.
Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, Commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referring to the role of Iran’s Air Force in suppressing the enemy’s air capabilities, said: When the Ba’athist regime of Iraq launched its first attacks on Islamic Iran, the Air Force, without a moment’s delay, targeted and struck the military bases, oil facilities, and vital locations of this regime.
According to Pars Today, Brigadier General Vahedi added: The Air Force of Iran has carried out numerous important operations, but the operation known as “Operation 140 aircraft H3,” which in reality involved a larger number of aircraft (more than 300 Air Force fighters), is a unique example of operations through which Iran’s Air Force was able to penetrate thousands of kilometers into enemy territory and strike and destroy the infrastructural and vital positions of the Ba’athist regime of Iraq.
Vahedi, highlighting the intelligence and high capabilities of the Air Force pilots, emphasized that in “Operation 140 aircraft H3,” eight Phantom fighter jets, without being detected, managed to fly at very low altitudes, evade radar detection, and with more than three stages of aerial refueling, destroyed three bases of the Ba’athist regime near the Jordanian border and eliminated over 50 enemy fighter aircraft.
