UNRWA: Aid distribution centers in Gaza have become ‘death traps’

Pars Today – The commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on Tuesday strongly criticized the current state of humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza, describing the process as a series of “death traps” for the residents of the enclave.
Philippe Lazzarini said daily reports are received of dozens being massacred or injured at aid distribution points controlled by the Zionist regime and private security firms. He described the system as humiliating, forcing thousands of hungry and desperate individuals to walk long distances while the most vulnerable populations and those in remote areas are entirely excluded. Lazzarini warned that this regime’s aim is not to alleviate hunger. (Mehr news agency)
