Gharibabadi: Western sanctions are an obstacle to combating climate change

Pars Today – The deputy for legal and international affairs at Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that unilateral and illegal sanctions obstruct access to financial resources and advanced technologies, creating major challenges for effective climate action and environmental protection.
Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the world is clearly suffering from numerous environmental crises. He emphasized that the unjust, unilateral sanctions hinder efforts to combat climate change and protect the environment, but noted that solutions exist to overcome this crisis, including preserving the Zagros forests for future generations.
