Pars Today –Iran’s ambassador to Belarus on Friday described the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as a market as vast as half the world’s population and stressed that interbank cooperation among these countries would serve the establishment of a multipolar world.
Alireza Sanei referred to Iran’s proposal for the establishment of a joint bank among SCO member states, presented at the meeting of central bank governors in Beijing.
He noted that economic cooperation is one of the key areas within the SCO framework and monetary and financial collaboration can significantly influence and facilitate partnerships among member states. The Iranian envoy emphasized that economic cooperation represents a vital capacity for the sustainable development of SCO member states. (IRNA)
