Pars Today – Pakistani media extensively covered the Wednesday remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the 36th anniversary of the passing of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (God’s mercy upon him), quoting his firm stance that uranium enrichment is the “key” to Iran’s nuclear program.
The website of Pakistan’s ARY News reported that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in a televised address, stated: “The nuclear proposal offered by the Americans is entirely contrary to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.”
The English-language daily The Nation wrote that Ayatollah Khamenei rejected US’s demands to halt nuclear enrichment, stressing that the process is central to Iran’s nuclear agenda.
Similarly, the Urdu-language Geo News website quoting the Leader’s remarks in Tehran, emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei dismissed the US call for Iran to stop uranium enrichment. / IRNA
