Pars Today- Yesterday (December 29) was a famous day in Iran. It has been named as the “Day of Insight and Allegiance of Ummah with the Leader”.
After the presidential election in Iran in 2009, and the claim of rigging by two of the defeated candidates, a wave of protest, riot and chaos was unleashed in some cities of the country with the pattern of color revolutions. However, Pars Today reports that the documents and evidence obtained after this sedition were indicative of the fact that some foreign elements, especially from the US and Europe, had been engaged in designing the scenario for a color revolution in Iran and orchestrated this conspiracy long before the election.
The Westerners were intent to kill two birds with one shot through this sedition. On the one hand, they had targeted the authenticity and health of election in Iran to make people distrust the political structure, and on the other hand, they were indulged in the daydream of soft overthrowing as they saw people’s tendency towards the politicians who criticized the West. Thus, street riots were not usual and normal after the 10th presidential election in Iran. These events were rather based on the pattern of color and soft revolutions or “velvet revolutions” as they are known.
As people showed little interest in the riots which had been orchestrated and directed by the West, very soon rioters lost their supporters and their number decreased to a handful of ruffians who embarked on desecration of Islamic sanctities. Therefore, their actions provoked religious sentiments and led to the public wrath of the Iranian people which culminated in the nationwide demonstrations on December 30, 2009 and the dangerous plot of the Westerners and their pawns inside the country was nipped in the bud. [For your information, this year the day fell on December 29 as the year 2024 is a leap year]. This day was named as the “Day of Insight and Allegiance of Ummah with the Leader” in the Iranian calendar. Now, 15 years later, Iranian people pour to the streets to mark that fateful day to prove their insight and obedience of the Leader in the face of the enemy’s plots.
