Pars Today – UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Monday called for an independent investigation into the deaths of dozens of Palestinians near a US-supported aid distribution center in the Gaza Strip.
The call followed reports from aid workers attributing the deaths to gunfire from Israeli forces—a claim the Israeli military has denied. Guterres said in a statement: “I am horrified by reports of Palestinians massacred and injured yesterday while seeking aid in Gaza. It is unacceptable that Palestinians are risking their lives for food.” (IRNA)
