Today, Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, is the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. General Haj Qassem Soleimani, the hero of the fight against global terrorism.
 
Lt. General Haj Qassem Soleimani, the late commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was martyred on January 3, 2020, while on an official visit to Iraq, in an airstrike by American aggressor and terrorist forces at Baghdad Airport, along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (Al-Hashd al-Shaabi), and eight of their companions.

Hadi al-Amiri: Martyr Soleimani was tireless
Hadi al-Amiri, Secretary-General of Iraq’s Badr Organization, stated on Wednesday at the memorial ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in Baghdad: “Martyr Soleimani was tireless and played a significant role in addressing many challenges in Iraq and Syria.”

A professor of language and literature at the University of Kashmir, India, said on Wednesday: “In various parts of India, including Kashmir and Kargil, General Soleimani is recognized as an inspiring figure and a symbol of resistance.” 
According to Mohammad Reza Salsakoot, a professor of language and literature at Kashmir University in India, one of the main reasons for General Soleimani’s popularity in India was his role in freeing Indian nurses from Daesh in Iraq, a story that was widely covered by Indian media after his martyrdom.

Amid heavy rains and a harsh winter in the Gaza Strip, Marwan al-Hams, the head of field hospitals in the area, raised alarms about the lack of clothing and the threat to residents’ lives. He stated:

According to reports, people took to the streets in cities such as Amman, the capital of Jordan, Tangier in Morocco, Tunis, Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, Oslo in Norway, Istanbul in Turkey, and several other cities to support the Palestinian people.
