Baghaei: Iran’s red lines will serve as basis for our response to US proposal

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday stated that Tehran’s response to the recent proposal from the United States during indirect talks will be based on the Islamic Republic’s red lines.
Esmaeil Baghaei said at his weekly press conference: “No proposal that includes radical and maximalist demands or disregards the legitimate rights and interests of the Iranian people will be met with a positive response.”
He added: “The West and the IAEA will certainly not achieve results through these methods. Repeating a path that has already proven futile is a mistake.”
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman criticized some Western states for misusing international organizations and multilateral mechanisms—including the International Atomic Energy Agency—for their political purposes, calling it a regrettable trend of the past two decades that is not limited to the IAEA. / IRNA
