Pars Today – In a joint statement, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Atomic Energy Organization rejected the latest report by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, calling it politically motivated and outside the agency’s mandate.
The statement emphasizes that the repetition of baseless and unsubstantiated claims, accompanied by exaggerated concern, serves only as a pretext for political maneuvering against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The report, according to the statement, was politically engineered under external pressure and violates the principles of neutrality expected of international institutions.
It also reiterates that, in light of the Leader of Islamic Revolution’s fatwa (religious decree), nuclear weapons have no place in Iran’s defense doctrine and Iran’s uranium enrichment program is entirely peaceful, transparent, under IAEA supervision, and fully consistent with the comprehensive Safeguards Agreement.
