Kuala lumpur trilateral summit stresses palestinian return to 1967 borders

Pars Today – At the first economic trilateral summit between China, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC), participants emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with al-Quds as its capital.
Held in Malaysia, the summit saw all three sides express deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid. According to a statement published on China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website, the summit’s leaders demanded an end to the “illegal situation resulting from the occupation of Palestinian territories.” (IRNA)
