Pars Today – Iran’s foreign minister warned Tuesday night that if the UK insists on a “zero enrichment” policy for Iran, no grounds for further nuclear negotiations will remain.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that if the United Kingdom’s position is the complete elimination of uranium enrichment in Iran, then no grounds for further dialogue on the nuclear issue will remain.
Writing on the social media platform X, Araghchi said: “Iran has continued to engage in multilateral dialogue with the UK and the remaining European parties to the JCPOA in good faith, even as the United States continues to show no interest in involving them in the ongoing negotiations.”
He added: “If the British position is truly ‘zero enrichment’ in Iran, that constitutes a blatant violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and of London’s commitments as a remaining JCPOA member. In that case, there will be nothing left to discuss.”
