Imam khamenei: we are optimistic about the future of the islamic world / meeting of pakistani pm with the leader of the revolution + photos

Pars Today – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, through mutual cooperation, can be influential in the Islamic world and steer the issue of Palestine away from its current wrong path. He stated: “We are optimistic about the future of the Islamic world, and many events confirm this optimism.”
According to Pars Today, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, met with the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his accompanying delegation on Monday. Highlighting Pakistan’s special position in the Islamic world, the Leader stressed the necessity of joint and impactful efforts by Iran and Pakistan to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza. 
At the beginning of the meeting, the Leader expressed satisfaction over the end of the conflict between Pakistan and India and voiced hope for the resolution of disputes between the two countries. He referred to Pakistan’s strong and commendable stance on the Palestinian issue over the years, stating: “While in recent years there have been temptations for Islamic countries to establish relations with the Zionist regime, Pakistan has never succumbed to these temptations.”

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the vast potential of the Islamic Ummah to achieve greater power in today’s world, adding: “In a situation where warmongers in the world have strong motives to create division and conflict, the only thing that can ensure the security of the Islamic Ummah is unity among Islamic countries and enhancing their mutual relations.” 
He described Palestine as the foremost issue of the Islamic world and, referring to the dire situation in Gaza, noted: “The condition in Gaza has reached a point where ordinary people in Europe and America are protesting against their own governments through demonstrations. Yet, regrettably, some Islamic governments stand alongside the Zionist regime in these circumstances.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, through cooperation, can play a significant role in the Islamic world and redirect the Palestinian issue from its current wrong path. He stated: “We are optimistic about the future of the Islamic world, and many events affirm this optimism.” 
Ayatollah Khamenei also described the relations between Iran and Pakistan as consistently warm and brotherly. Referring to Pakistan’s commendable positions during the Iraqi Baathist regime war against Iran, as an example of this fraternal relationship, he assessed the current level of bilateral cooperation in various fields as below expectations. The Leader added: “The two countries can assist each other in many areas, and we hope this visit will help expand comprehensive relations in various fields, especially economic, political, and cultural spheres.” 
The Leader also stressed the need for Iran and Pakistan to cooperate in revitalizing the ECO (Economic Cooperation Organization). 
During the meeting, which was also attended by President Pezeshkian, Shehbaz Sharif expressed great pleasure at meeting the Leader of the Revolution and appreciated the positive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in de-escalating the recent crisis between Pakistan and India. Referring to the developments in recent conflicts, he mentioned Gaza, saying: “Unfortunately, the international community is taking no effective action to end the catastrophe in Gaza.”

The Prime Minister of Pakistan also expressed hope that his constructive and productive talks in Tehran would pave the way for further expansion of bilateral relations.
