Pars Today – The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that despite being positive, the current level of political, economic, cultural, and security relations between Tehran and Islamabad does not reflect the vast capacities and deep-rooted bonds between the two nations.
During a meeting with high-ranking Iranian and Pakistani delegations, President Masoud Pezeshkian expressing satisfaction over hosting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, described the two countries’ relations as rooted in shared history, culture, and religion.
Emphasizing the strategic and principled policies of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding prioritizing ties with neighboring and Islamic countries, Pezeshkian stated that Iran considers expanding and consolidating relations with Pakistan to be of paramount strategic importance. / IRNA
