Pars Today – The UK foreign secretary on Tuesday described the actions of the Israeli cabinet in Gaza as “horrific,” “indefensible,” and “contrary to British values,” stressing the need for an immediate end to the blockade of Gaza and confirming that Israel’s ambassador had been summoned.
David Lammy, speaking in the UK House of Commons, stated: “Following the launch of Israel’s large-scale ground operation across Gaza, dubbed ‘Operation Gideon’s Chariot,’ we have entered a darker phase of this conflict. Netanyahu has said he will only allow just enough food in to prevent total starvation—this is appalling.” The foreign secretary added: “The United Nations and the World Health Organization have warned that famine threatens thousands of Palestinian civilians, which is intolerable.”/ IRNA
