US secretary of state: We hope to reach a deal with Iran, but it won’t be easy

Pars Today – The US secretary of state said Tuesday that American embassy staff in Syria, working from Turkey, would assist Syrian authorities in determining the types of aid required.
Speaking during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, Marco Rubio repeated Washington’s accusations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. Referring to ongoing talks with Tehran, he said: “Negotiations with Iran are ongoing, and we hope they will continue.” Rubio, who is also the acting national security adviser to the Donald Trump administration, repeated Washington’s claims and created panic if an agreement is not reached, claiming: “We hope we can reach a deal with Iran, because the alternative would be far worse.”/ IRNA
