Pars Today – The minister of energy of the Islamic Republic government said that Iran and Turkmenistan are on the verge of signing a new agreement to double the exchange of electricity to a ceiling of two billion kilowatt-hours.
Abbas Aliabadi, in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov referring to the history of beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, emphasized: “Currently, there are three power transmission lines between Iran and Turkmenistan, two of which are active, and with the completion of the third line, the exchange capacity will increase significantly.” The Iranian minister of energy added: “Cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan in the field of energy, especially electricity, has entered a new phase.”/ IRIB news agency
