Iran's president: we pursue strengthening relations with neighbors based on cultural & historical commonalities

Pars Today – In a meeting with Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that Iran seeks a region free from war and unrest, characterized by lasting peace and stable security.
Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday in Tehran said “We have extended a hand of friendship to all neighboring countries and are working to deepen our relations based on our numerous cultural, historical, and human commonalities.” He described Iran-Armenia relations as consistently cordial and grounded in goodwill and expressed hope that these relations would continue on a path of sustainable development. For his part, Armen Grigoryan stated that bilateral ties are genuinely growing and strengthening, noting that trade volume between the two nations has surpassed one billion dollars. He affirmed Armenia’s willingness to further expand this level of cooperation./ IRNA
