Iran’s parliament speaker: root of unrest in west asia is u.s. support for zionist mafia

Pars Today – The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament stated that the root of unrest in the West Asia region lies in the United States’ support for the Zionist mafia, and said that Israel operates as America’s proxy force in the region. Iran, he added, calls for political, economic, and arms sanctions against the regime.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, speaking on Wednesday at the 19th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia, said: “The Zionist regime, founded on occupation, genocide, and racial discrimination, is now the main source of instability and threat to the Islamic world.
Everyone knows that this criminal mafia would not be capable of such savagery without the green light from the U.S. In reality, Israel functions as America’s proxy in the region.”
The Speaker added that in response to the Zionist regime’s occupation and crimes, the people of the region have turned to resistance.
Ghalibaf continued: “The Islamic Republic of Iran calls for immediate and effective measures by Islamic countries, including political, economic, and military sanctions against the Zionist regime, recognition of war crimes, genocide, and apartheid in Palestine, and legal prosecution of the regime’s leaders in international courts.”
He stressed: “We believe that the democratic solution for determining Palestine’s future and achieving security, stability, and peace in the region lies in establishing an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital, and holding a referendum involving all Palestinians after ensuring their right of return.”
In another part of his speech, Ghalibaf said: “Iran has never had nuclear weapons and will not pursue them. Lasting regional security can only be achieved through cooperation among regional countries, free from the interference of extra-regional powers.”
