Pars Today – The minister of cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts of Iran emphasized the need to redefine regional relations in light of civilizational connections. He stated that the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) requires the design of a new framework for cultural interactions, which can be achieved through dialogue, visa facilitation, and the joint utilization of tourism capacities.
Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, in his speech at the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Symposium, outlined a strategic vision for regional cooperation. He stated: “The ECO, as a civilizational and capacity-oriented platform, requires a new framework for relations among nations—one that is not solely at the government level but also deeply rooted in the cultural and social layers of the peoples.” During the session, the Iranian minister of cultural heritage also proposed holding a “Cultural Elites Summit of ECO Member States” in Tehran./ IRIB news agency
