Araghchi: Iran insists on its right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, including enrichment

Pars Today – Speaking on Saturday evening Iran’s foreign minister said: “The Islamic Republic considers the acquisition and use of nuclear weapons forbidden and has always been a committed member of the international non-proliferation regime, but at the same time Iran insists on its right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, including enrichment”.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi added: “Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction have no place whatsoever in the security doctrine of the Islamic Republic”.
The Iranian foreign minister made these remarks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, which is currently hosting one of the most important regional diplomatic gatherings, the fourth “Iran-Arab Dialogue Conference” titled “Strong Relations and Mutual Benefits”, from 10 to 12 May 2025./ IRNA
