Pars Today – Regarding rumors about an attempt to alter the longstanding name of the ‘Persian Gulf’ by US President Donald Trump, the White House spokesperson told reporters on Friday local time: “No decision has been made on this matter yet.”
Caroline Levitt emphasized: “The US President has not made any decision on this matter yet. On Wednesday, Trump, in response to a question about rumors of an attempt to alter the name of the Persian Gulf, told reporters that he has not made a final decision and does not want to hurt anyone’s feelings.”
In reaction to these baseless and unfounded rumors, Iran’s Mission to the United Nations posted on X (formerly called Twitter): “Facts do not change with decisions made in the Oval Office. The ‘Persian Gulf’ has deep roots in human history.”/ IRNA
