Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the friendly ties between Iran and India have deep historical roots, and these bonds provide a solid foundation for expanding relations in line with the mutual interests of the two nations.
According to Pars Today, citing Iran’s Students News Agency (ISNA), “Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh,” the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on social media platform X on Thursday: “Iran’s Foreign Minister is in New Delhi today to review bilateral relations between Iran and India and to consult on regional and international developments.”
The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry added: “The foreign ministers of Iran and India will hold the 20th session of the Iran-India Joint Commission, and several cooperation agreements aimed at enhancing relations in economic, customs, and health sectors will be signed.”
Baghaei further noted that Iran and India are committed to strengthening efforts and cooperation to maintain and promote peace, security, and stability in the region and around the world.
On Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Minister led a high-level political delegation to New Delhi to meet with senior Indian officials and discuss bilateral issues as well as regional and international developments.
