NIGC’s CEO: Iran-Turkmenistan gas cooperation is a step towards regional trade

Pars Today – The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) stated that developing gas relations with Turkmenistan could pave the way for broader cooperation in other areas, adding: “Gas cooperation between the two countries will be the introduction to regional gas trade, which we hope will continue.”
Saeed Tavakoli, on Thursday on the sidelines of the first day of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran, in a meeting with the ambassador of Turkmenistan, referring to the emphasis of Iran’s president and oil minister on effective communications and extensive cooperation with neighboring countries, added: “All these cases confirm that we intend to reach long-term contracts and desired results through further consultation and interaction. We hope to witness a strong and friendly relationship with Turkmenistan in the long term and to make good use of past experiences in this field.” / IRNA
