Pars Today – Upon his arrival in New Delhi, Iran’s foreign minister, referring to the tension and conflict between India and Pakistan, called for restraint from the two countries to prevent an escalation of tensions in the region.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi added on Wednesday evening: “It is natural that we want to reduce tensions and we hope that the parties will prevent the escalation of tensions with the restraint they are showing. Our region needs peace, especially to expand economic cooperation between the countries of the region, and we hope that this will happen.” Araghchi said: This trip was planned long ago, and its main goal is to form a joint economic commission between the two countries. Iran’s foreign minister departed for New Delhi on Wednesday evening, leading a diplomatic delegation to meet with high-ranking Indian officials and discuss bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments./ IRNA
