Pars Today – In their recent contact, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia on the 80th anniversary of Russia’s victory in World War II.
During the recent phone call between Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, and Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, important issues such as the development of trade relations, strategic cooperation, and international matters were discussed. According to Pars Today, quoting BRICS television network, per a statement released by the Kremlin, both sides emphasized enhancing practical cooperation and coordinating foreign policy efforts. 
Development of economic cooperation and mega projects 
One of the main focuses of this conversation was the expansion of bilateral trade and investment relations. The two leaders stressed the implementation of large-scale joint projects in the fields of transportation and energy. This highlights the willingness of both countries to strengthen economic ties, especially amid international sanctions against Russia and Iran. Additionally, progress made under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, signed during Pezeshkian’s official visit to Moscow on January 17, was reviewed. 
Iran’s nuclear program and Oman’s mediation role 
The nuclear negotiations involving Iran, with Oman acting as mediator, were also discussed during the call. Putin emphasized Russia’s readiness to support a fair agreement in this regard. On the other hand, Pezeshkian congratulated Putin and the Russian people on the 80th anniversary of Russia’s victory in World War II.
