Pars Today – The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Iran and Algeria in international forums and within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to support the rights of the Palestinian people.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, held discussions on Tuesday evening with Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Foreign Minister, regarding bilateral relations and regional and international developments.
According to Pars Today, Araghchi, during this conversation, highlighted the intensification of crimes by the Zionist regime in the Occupied Territories of Palestine in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as its ongoing aggression against Lebanon. He called for increased cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries to halt the massacre and genocide of defenseless Palestinians and to prevent the realization of the conspiracy to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland.
Araghchi further informed his Algerian counterpart about the latest developments related to the indirect talks between Iran and the United States.
Iran’s Foreign Minister also expressed appreciation for Algeria’s principled stance on Iran’s nuclear issue during the recent session of the United Nations Security Council.
In this telephone conversation, Algeria’s Foreign Minister expressed deep concern over the continued destabilization of the region by the Israeli regime and condemned the massacre of innocent people in occupied Palestine. He emphasized the necessity for effective action by Islamic countries and the international community.
Attaf, expressing sorrow over the explosion incident at Shahid Rajaei Port, extended condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
