Martyr professor motahhari; iranian thinker in hearts of millions of malay speakers

Pars Today- A Malaysian translator informed of unprecedented welcome of millions of people in Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia for the works of martyr professor, “Morteza Motahhari”, the great Iranian thinker of the 20th century.
Martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari was a thinker, researcher, scholar, author and specialist of Islamic sciences in the 20th century. He was one of the prominent professors of philosophy, Islamic theology and exegesis of the noble Qur’an. He has authored over 100 books on a variety of issues. The day of his martyrdom (May2) has been named as the “Teacher’s Day” in the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Pars Today, quoting from IRIB news agency, Seyyed Sheikh ibn Seyyed Mostafa, a Malaysian translator, referring to more than 70 books of martyr Ayatollah Motahhari in different fields of philosophy, social sciences, jurisprudence and history, made it clear, “Millions of Malay speakers in Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia have warmly welcomed several books of the professor which have been translated.” He added that, the warm welcome for martyr Motahhari’s books is due to the unique features of these works. These works have been published several times but are still rare.
Seyyed Sheikh continued, “Professor Motahhari is one of the outstanding scholars of the Islamic world who, through his speech and pen, introduced Islam for consecutive years in compliance with the political changes of the world as an independent and precious school.”
On the other hand, Abdullah Hosseini, a Malaysian publisher, also informed of publishing more than 18 works of martyr Motahhari for Malay speakers. Hosseini, pointing to his acquaintance with the valuable books of Ayatollah Motahhari for 10 years, made it clear, “His valuable books, especially in the field of Islamic philosophy, attracted the youths interested in the Western philosophy.” He added, “Martyr Motahhari founded the alphabet of steadfastness and resistance against oppression through unity and solidarity of the Islamic Ummah for fighting oppression and defending the oppressed, in particular, the decisive support of the Islamic world for the Palestinian oppressed.”
Muhammad Azmi Abdul Hamid, chairman of the Organization of Islamic Councils in Malaysia, also believes, “Ayatollah Motahhari breathed a fresh spirit in the body of Palestinians to reach freedom and revived the spirit of resistance in the Islamic Ummah against the Global Arrogance.” He reiterated, “Martyr Motahhari was thoughtful of Palestine and was concerned about the situation of Muslims, and emphasized the unity of Islamic countries in fighting the oppressors of the time.”
