Pars Today – A Zionist institution has admitted that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, is deeply rooted, and its destruction is impossible.
With the start of the military invasion of the Gaza Strip by the Zionist regime in October 2023, the primary goal of the regime was announced to be the destruction of Hamas’ military infrastructure and command structure, as well as the return of captured Zionists. However, despite more than 18 months passing since this unprecedented invasion, Hamas has not only survived but has managed to preserve and even rebuild a significant portion of its military capabilities.
According to Pars Today, citing IQNA, the Israeli Institute for Domestic Security Studies emphasized in an analysis based on research that Hamas is neither a foreign phenomenon, nor new, nor temporary in Palestine. Rather, it is a deeply rooted movement that has institutionalized political, religious, and national awareness within Palestinian society over decades.
According to this research, even before the implementation of a ceasefire, Hamas had begun recruiting fresh forces and succeeded in maintaining its capacity to carry out operations and wage war against Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. As a result, despite the efforts of the Zionist army, Hamas’ tunnel system remains largely intact, with many tunnels still undiscovered.
On the other hand, the Zionist newspaper Maariv, quoting Israeli analyst Avi Ashkenazi, reported that after a year and a half of the Gaza war, Hamas still maintains full control over the Gaza Strip. Ashkenazi stated that the Zionist regime’s army has only managed to destroy about 25% of Hamas’ underground tunnels — tunnels that play a critical role in the movement’s defensive and offensive strategies.
Meanwhile, the Zionist newspaper Haaretz wrote that Hamas is currently focusing on producing homemade bombs and explosives. In its report, Haaretz noted that Hamas has successfully recruited and trained around 40,000 young fighters, indicating the movement’s ability to rebuild its military strength despite the intense military pressure from the Zionist regime.
These developments demonstrate that the Zionist regime’s military policies have failed to achieve their long-term objectives in the Gaza Strip, and Hamas remains an active and effective player in the Palestinian resistance scene.
