Pars Today- The international silence and suspicious inaction of al-Jolani terrorist regime have paved the way for Zionists to plunder Quneitra Governorate of southern Syria and seize the natural resources and riches of this strategic region.
According to Pars Today, quoting from Mehr news agency, making the best use of the regional and global preoccupation with the developments of Gaza and Lebanon, the Zionist regime is rapidly stabilizing and spreading its occupation in Syria, and Quneitra Governorate (Golan Heights in southwest of Syria) is the regime’s important goal in the region. This report has enumerated some of the aspects of Syrian occupation by Zionists:
Rapid occupation of Syria by Zionists
A few hours after the downfall of the Bashar Assad government, the Zionist regime sent its military to the barrier region on the Golan Heights which the regime had occupied since 1967 and announced that the détente agreement signed by Syria in 1974 was no more valid. Immediately after the withdrawal of the dissolved Syrian army from Mount Hermon, the occupying forces started to build military centers in the region on the Syrian side and infiltrated 4km deep in the border with the occupied Golan which is 76km long. Many reports have been released of Zionists’ aggressive occupation of Quneitra for the recent weeks and Syrian citizens, lambasting “Abu Muhammed al-Jolani” for being passive and silent vis-à-vis the Israeli occupation, report that the Israeli military forces have taken all arms of Syrians and are doing whatever they wish in Quneitra.
Occupiers’ barbarity in Quneitra
Local sources report that the Zionist military have demolished some of the buildings outside the governor’s office, destroyed farms with bulldozers, uprooted trees and burned the cars belonging to the governorship. Qneitra Governorate is a scene of chaos and destruction thanks to the aggression and occupation; and the Zionist military forces broke and destroyed the furniture, desks, windows and everything in the governor’s office and wrote things on the walls of the building.
Oppressive siege of Syrian citizens while al-Jolani government is suspiciously silent
Nevertheless, al-Jolani has not condemned the Israeli aggression, invasion and occupation in Quneitra even verbally. The head of Quneitra council said in this regard that the security forces of the new ruling system in Syria are present in vast regions of Quneitra, but they refuse to clash with the Israeli military.
Syrian citizens’ riches under boots of Zionist occupiers
Quneintra has been famous since old times for providing dairy products, such as milk and cheese, in the Syrian market. Quneitra is a strategic region and a vast open space which can be used for installing huge wind turbines to produce electricity. This has been done on the other side of the Golan Heights by the Zionist regime. The Occupying regime, in addition to military pressures in the region, is looting the natural resources and exploiting the potentials of Quneitra. This is while, the international parties have taken no decisive measure to confront the flagrant invasion and aggression of the fake Zionist regime and the terrorist regime of al-Jolani is merely watching the plunder of the country by Zionists.
