Pars Today – A Hebrew media outlet reported that, amid the ongoing Gaza war and economic crisis, Israel lost at least 1,700 millionaires over the past year.
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, citing data from the international firm Henley & Partners, which specializes in migration, and New World Wealth, a company focused on global wealth data analysis, highlighted a significant decline in Israel’s wealthy population.
According to Pars Today, quoting Fars News, the report states that in 2024, approximately 22,600 millionaires resided in the cities of Tel Aviv and Herzliya, compared to 24,300 in 2023.
This statistic indicates that at least 1,700 millionaires have left Israel (the occupied territories) over the past year.
Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist regime’s military aggression against the Gaza Strip, supported by the United States, has resulted in over 166,000 Palestinian casualties—killed and injured—most of whom are women and children, as well as more than 11,000 missing persons and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Two days ago, Yedioth Ahronoth also reported a concerning rise in the migration of skilled workers in the high-tech sector following the start of the Gaza war in October 2023. According to data released by the Israel Innovation Authority, from the onset of the war until July 2024, approximately 8,300 employees in this industry left Israel (the occupied territories).
This figure represents 2.1% of the total workforce in Israel’s high-tech sector.
This official body warned that these statistics are “highly alarming” and have cast uncertainty over the job market outlook in Israel’s tech industry for 2025.
According to a report by the Israeli economic newspaper The Marker, the recent wave of missile attacks by Yemen’s Armed Forces targeting sites deep within the Occupied Territories has had direct and tangible effects on daily life and Israel’s economy. The Marker writes: “As Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip, Zionist society is now facing the consequences of its political and military decisions, feeling the cost of these choices coming directly out of its own pocket.”
