Pars Today- American media have acknowledged that the country has failed to gain its goals in Yemen.
CNN has just admitted in an analysis that the American military objectives for challenging Yemeni resistance forces have been defeated. The US has admitted failure in its aggression against Yemen while the Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Saree, informed on Wednesday of downing another American drone in the country’s airspace. According to Pars Today, it was the 18th American UAV which was shot down in Yemen.
CNN TV channel, pointing to the firm resistance of Yemenis during the Saudi-led coalition’s bombing for several years with American equipment and weapons, admitted that the whole costs of the US Army’s three-week operation against Yemen have been estimated to amount to $1 billion; but these attacks have been of no avail to destroy the Yemeni capability.
CNN, quoting from some regional diplomatic sources and analysts, claimed that it is only a ground attack which can destroy Ansarullah Movement.
Ahmed Nagi, senior Yemeni analyst for international affairs, said in this regard, “The US is mistaken to think that it can force Ansarullah to retreat; whereas this approach had already failed in Joe Biden administration and it is unlikely to be successful in the new administration, too.”
Meanwhile, daily New York Times wrote in a column that the officials of Pentagon have announced to the US Congress that they have not been much successful in destroying the missiles and drones of Ansarullah.
According to the NYT report, while the American military operation has entered more complicated phases, informed sources in the US Congress say that the Pentagon officials, during confidential meetings with their foreign counterparts, Congressmen and their advisors, have acknowledged that the United States has gained limited success in annihilation of Ansarullah’s huge arsenals of missiles, drones and launchers.
On the other hand, the Hebrew language daily The Marker, admitted in an analysis that, the series of Yemeni missile attacks deep into the Occupied Territories have caused direct and severe effects for Israel. The analysis adds that the Yemeni Armed Forces’ attacks are not restricted to psychological and symbolic part; they have caused direct security and economic costs both for Israel and its army. Yet, during this conflict, the marine siege imposed by Sanaa government in the Red Sea for the Israeli ships and those cooperating with it should not be underestimated. This siege has imposed exorbitant costs on Israeli ports.
