Pars Today – The results of a poll in Israel indicate that the majority of residents in the Occupied Territories, dissatisfied with the performance of Netanyahu’s cabinet, are demanding early elections.
According to Pars Today’s report, the results of a survey conducted by Israel’s Channel 13 show that 59.2% of residents in the Occupied Territories believe that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to remove Ronen Bar, the head of Shabak (Israel’s internal security agency), and the cabinet’s legal advisor for personal reasons.
Additionally, 55.7% of participants in this poll have called for early elections to be held as soon as possible.
The failure of Netanyahu’s cabinet to secure the release of Israeli captives is cited as one of the main reasons behind the demand for early elections.
Meanwhile, Zionist media outlets reported Thursday night about clashes between the regime’s police and the families of Israeli captives in Tel Aviv.
According to the report, the families of the Israeli captives held protests in Tel Aviv, calling for the completion of a prisoner exchange deal with Palestinian groups.
It was noted that the regime’s police deemed the settlers’ demonstrations illegal and resorted to force to disperse them.
Zionist media outlets have not released further details regarding the clashes between the regime’s police and the families of Israeli captives from Gaza.
On Monday night, Zionist media had also reported on clashes between the regime’s police forces and Zionist protesters near the Knesset, Israel’s parliament.
On Sunday night, thousands took to the streets in Tel Aviv to protest against the performance of Netanyahu’s cabinet in handling the captives’ issue, demanding the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement and opposing efforts to oust the head of Shabak and the cabinet’s legal advisor.
Since the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7, 2023, masses of Zionists, especially the families of Israeli captives, along with political and security circles of the Zionist regime, have held Netanyahu and his ruling coalition responsible for being caught off guard by the Palestinian resistance and the outbreak of the operation, criticizing Netanyahu’s management of the war.
The families of Israeli captives and settlers have repeatedly demonstrated against the policies of the cabinet since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, which has led to clashes with the police and the arrest of some protestors. They have emphasized that the Zionist regime’s cabinet is indifferent to the fate of their captive relatives held by the Palestinian resistance and that they are not a priority in the decision-making processes of the cabinet members.
