Pars Today- Noted analyst of the Arab world dedicated his Thursday editorial to the Syrian developments and the occupation and aggression unleashed in the country by the Zionist regime.
Abdel Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of the trans-regional daily Rai al-Youm and prominent analyst of the Arab world, wrote in his editorial, “Finally, 4 months after continuous silence of the new leadership of Syria vis-à-vis the aggression and occupation unleashed by the Zionist regime in the country in the aftermath of the downfall of Bashar Assad government, the foreign ministry of the government of Ahmed al-Sharaa (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani) reacted to these aggressions of Zionists. According to Pars Today, quoting from Tasnim news agency, Abdel Bari Atwan added, “The Syrian government has condemned the bombing and incursion of the occupying forces and called for international probe into Tel Aviv’s aggressions against the Syrian sovereignty and crimes against Syrian civilians.”
The editor-in-chief of daily Rai al-Youm, raising the question whether the international community would respond Jolani’s delayed call for halting of Israeli aggressions, stressed, “Due to several reasons we don’t think that the international community will respond to Jolani’s request on stopping the aggressions of the Zionist regime.”
Atwan continued, “Firstly, the side which has violated the Syrian sovereignty, occupied its territories and is massacring the citizens of this country is Israel and not the former Syrian system. That’s why the international community- dominated by the US- even welcomes these Israeli aggressions on Syria and will not respond it absolutely.”
He made it clear, “Secondly, the main mission of the process of change in Syria, which the international community- under the US control- pursued, materialized with the fall of the former Syrian system; hence, the new Syria is not considered a danger for the Occupying Zionist regime. The continuation of sanctions and economic siege against Syria, aggravation of livelihood of people, occurrence of crimes, carnage, sectarian clashes and not excluding the new leadership of Syria from the list of terrorism, approves that the international community is not basically intent to help the Syrian people.”
This renowned analyst of the Arab world reiterated, “Thirdly, the US-led international community is completely compliant with and supports the project of disintegration of Syria into tiny sectarian and ethnic governments which the Occupying Zionist regime is pursuing and implementing.”
The editorial continues, “We often don’t believe the intentional exposures which the Hebrew media are propagating these days implying that Israelis are concerned about the Turkish awe in the new Syria, because Turkey has never been a threat to Israel since the WWII. The Syrian system, too, has announced since the first day that it doesn’t like to be a threat to Israel and doesn’t want to confront it. On the other hand, Turkey continues diplomatic and economic relations with the Occupying Zionist regime.”
The editor-in-chief of daily Rai al-Youm also wrote, “The main scenario, which has currently been drawn up for the new shaping of the Middle East according to the Israeli demands and conditions, is an embodiment of the recommendation and view of David Ben Gurion, the founder of the fake Zionist regime, who would say, “The greatness of Israel is neither in nuclear bombs nor in its military arsenal; but in destroying the Arab armies in the three countries of Iraq, Syria and Egypt.”
