Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister described Turkey’s internal developments as an internal matter of that country.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of Turkey, held a telephone conversation on Monday evening to exchange views on regional and international developments.
According to Pars Today, quoting the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi, referring to Turkey’s internal developments, emphasized the principled stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: “The developments in Turkey are an internal matter of that country, and we are confident that the competent authorities in Turkey will manage these developments appropriately in accordance with the interests of the Turkish nation.”
Araghchi condemned the crimes and aggressions of the Zionist regime against Gaza and Lebanon, which grossly violate ceasefire agreements, and called for immediate action by the international community, particularly Islamic and regional countries, to stop the atrocities of the occupying regime.
He also condemned the U.S. airstrikes on Yemen, coinciding with the resumption of Israeli crimes against Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, stressing the importance of greater cooperation and coordination among regional countries to prevent aggression against Islamic nations and to curb the escalation of insecurity and instability in the region.
Hakan Fidan, during the phone call, congratulated Iran’s Foreign Minister on Nowruz and the New Year, emphasizing Turkey’s readiness to assist in finding diplomatic solutions to regional and international issues.
Fidan also referred to his participation in the recent meeting of the Arab-Islamic Contact Committee in Cairo to discuss the situation in Gaza, underscoring the need for Islamic countries to pay greater attention to the plight of the oppressed Palestinian people.
