Baghaei’s reaction to kaja kallas’s statements: if you are honest and concerned about security, address the genocide by the occupying regime

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson reacted to the occasional statements by the European Union’s new foreign policy chief against Iran, calling Iran a “threat” during her recent trip to occupied Palestine and while meeting with Zionist regime officials.
Kaja Kallas, the EU’s new foreign policy chief, on March 24, during her visit to occupied Palestine, labeled Iran a threat and, while turning a blind eye to the Zionist regime’s arsenals filled with nuclear weapons, claimed: “Iran must never be allowed to acquire or build a nuclear weapon.”
These remarks prompted a response from Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry. According to Pars Today, Baghaei stated: “Baseless words, illogical statements, and hypocritical claims form a trio that cannot be deemed credible.”
Baghaei added: “If Ms. Kallas truly cared about stability and security in the region, she should have addressed the genocide in Gaza, the repeated aggressions by the Zionist regime against Lebanon and Syria, and the military occupation of the territories of these two countries.”
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson further noted: “Unlike her predecessors, who at least tried to pay some heed to the principles and foundations of international law when expressing the EU’s positions, Ms. Kallas makes reckless statements that, even if stemming from inexperience, would, in the eyes of any impartial observer, further tarnish Europe’s image and credibility.”
It is worth mentioning that Esmaeil Baghaei had previously responded to similar claims by Kaja Kallas, saying: “The European Union should remember that it failed to demonstrate the necessary will and independence to uphold an agreement it had helped initiate and following the U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA, the EU practically failed to fulfill its commitments. If the European Union seeks to play an effective and constructive role on the international stage, it must adopt a realistic approach based on justice, respect for the rights of other nations, and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter and international law.”
