Pars Today- The Commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, in reaction to the remarks of the US president about the Iran-China-Russia compound Security Belt drills, said, “Some people are fanciful.”
The seventh compound “Security Belt 2025” maritime war-game is being staged with the flotillas of the Iranian, Chinese and Russian navies and observers from Republic of Azerbaijan, South Africa, Oman, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, UAE and Sri Lanka in the north of the Indian Ocean. According to Pars Today, the war-game is being staged with the aim of promotion of sustainable maritime security and interaction in the north of the Indian Ocean and relations between the Strategic Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Chinese and Russian navies in planning and launching of this compound naval drills.
Meanwhile, the frigate units of the Russian Federation Navy, including Rezky, Tsedi Zhapov, and the logistic warship, Pechinka, and the Chinese Navy, including Baoto destroyer and Gao Yuhu logistic warship entered Iran’s territorial waters on Monday in the north of the Indian Ocean to stage Security Belt 2025 maritime drills.
The powerful synergy of the Iranian-Chinese and Russian navies dubbed, “Security Belt 2025” compound maritime war-game has caused concern among the enemies of the region, such as the US, so that the American President, Donald Trump, said on Monday on his way from Florida to Washington, in response to a question, “Are he was worried about the trilateral naval exercise”, “No, not at all, because we are more powerful than them.”
In view of this, the Iranian Navy Commander, Rear Admiral, Sharham Irani, called Trump’s remarks as illusive and said, “The players in the maritime scene have increased. The presence of Iran, China and Russia in this compound war-game is the source of security, but those who speak otherwise and are fanciful, their presence has never brought security and calm in any region in the world, and has always caused much insecurity and threatened the human community.”
Rear Admiral Sharam Irani made it clear, “Today, the Shanghai and BRICS member states are capable of playing their positive role in the best way in the field of maritime economy.”
Iran’s Navy Commander added, “Although the three countries of Iran, China and Russia form the axis of the security belt, other regional countries have managed to be present in the sea.”
The Strategic Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has played a significant role in the spread of maritime security and has sent different flotillas to the international waters. According to the Iranian Navy Commander, the Iranian naval forces have assisted the ships of more than 20 countries.
