How Trump’s bullying strengthens global resistance against imperialism?

Pars Today – An American political analyst acknowledged that the threats from the U.S. president will lead to a strengthening of global resistance against the United States.
“Stephen Walt,” a political expert, analyzed the problems of American diplomacy under the shadow of Trump’s threats and stated: “Trump may gain a few short-term advantages, but the long-term results will be greater global resistance and new opportunities for America’s rivals.”
According to Pars Today, citing Young Journalists Club, Stephen Walt, a professor of international relations at Harvard University, pointed out that while American investments in economic, diplomatic, or military fields are significant, they are also limited.
This political analyst, referring to Trump’s threats about reclaiming control over the Panama Canal and his claims regarding China’s influence on the canal, said: “The history of global politics shows that weaker countries threatened by the United States (even if the threat is not real) will eventually turn to China for help.”

Muslims unity in the face of Trump’s threats
Trump also made a mistake when he threatened to displace the people of Gaza from their land; an error that has led to Muslims unity. According to Ashkan Mombini, an international affairs expert, America’s support for genocide in Gaza and its attempt to alter the human geography of the region caused Arab and Islamic countries to stand alongside Palestinian resistance more than ever before. Instead of weakening this coalition, U.S. policies have strengthened it.

Iran as another arena for testing Trump’s mistakes
Regarding Iran, Trump’s policy, along with previous U.S. presidents, has also backfired. Nejah Mohammad Ali, an expert on West Asian issues, described the maximum pressure campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran as a failure in a note published in the regional newspaper Ray Al-Yawm.
Part of the note reads: “Contrary to Washington’s assessments, Iran pursued an ‘active resistance’ strategy, expanded its nuclear program, and continued it within a peaceful framework consistent with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).”

According to him, instead of isolating Iran, U.S. actions deepened the rift between Washington and its European allies, who refrained from following Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal and did not comply with his pressure tactics.

A new world order against the U.S.
Fareed Zakaria, a prominent American commentator and theorist, sharply criticized U.S. foreign policy and announced the emergence of a new world order and the advent of a post-American world. Zakaria warned: “Every country will consider how to reduce its dependence on the United States. As nations strive for independence from America, they may also look for alternatives to the dominance of the dollar.”
