Araghchi criticizes double standards in human rights / European lawmaker: Israel is a rogue state

Pars Today – The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the necessity of respecting human rights and avoiding double and selective standards during a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, traveled to Geneva to participate in the high-level session of the Human Rights Council and the United Nations disarmament conference. According to Pars Today, Araghchi expressed regret on Monday (February 24) at the ongoing double and selective approaches regarding human rights issues, stating that the instrumental use of human rights for political exploitation has undermined people’s trust in the Human Rights Council and international institutions.
Araghchi added: Given its rich culture and long history in the field of human rights, Iran has always strived to enhance the individual and social rights of its citizens. In this regard, we have undertaken extensive measures to improve human rights standards, including those of women, children, and minorities in our country.
