Beijing defends Tehran’s pragmatism in JCPOA; First Chinese container train to go to Europe via Iran

Pars Today- Chinese envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency said, “The country which left JCPOA unilaterally cannot escape from its historical responsibility.”
Lee Sung, China’s permanent Ambassador to the IAEA, pointing to the UN Security Council resolution 2231 on JCPOA, warned during the seasonal session of the agency’s board of governors on Friday, “There are only 8 months till the end of the implementation of this agreement. This is a vital window for diplomatic settlement of the issue. Iran has several times stressed [proved] the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and announced its readiness to resume talks and [continue] cooperation with the IAEA.”
The Chinese IAEA envoy reiterated, “We emphasize that the US, as the main destroyer of the JCPOA, should take practical steps as soon as possible, to return to international diplomatic efforts and enter negotiation with Iran.”
First Chinese container train travels to Europe via Iran
The Kazakh railroad company informed of the start of cooperation with the Chinese container railroad transportation company to launch the new service of freight container to Europe and announced, “The route of the first Chinese freight container will soon be launched from Chengdu, China, through the railroad network of Kazakhstan to Lodz in Poland. This train is supposed to reach Poland through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey.”
